So I'm trying to decide on which block I should take for my character who will be tanking. I've narrowed it down to two choices:

Force Shield for the energy return or
Electric Shield for the AoE damage / threat

Really I'm curious as to whether I will be hungry enough for energy to where the Energy Shield will aide me tremendously. Otherwise I think I'll be happier doing more damage as I block.

Any opinions/advice/discussion is welcome

All i can say is that force shield is ultimate win.

You will block less damage with electric shield. If you purchase the skill and mouse-over it, you can read the %dmg that is mitigated. IMO, go with the TK shield. It lasts several seconds after you drop it.

I think the shield from Power Armor does the same thing and you can buy an advantage that has it auto activate whenever you use a melee attack (to give you a high tech knight look with Energy sword)

Haven't tested it myself yet but it sounded overly nifty.

Laser Knight, I think...but yes, the PA block can do that too, but it requires the advantage.

Does the TK sheld linger for 8 seconds like the Force one does, and do they block the same amount on the lingering effect?

Normally i take Force shield as i assumed that it's lingering block would be stronger due to it requiring an advantage.
