Yeah I got booted once about 3 hours in when the server went down, but across the board across the zones, packed with people, has been rock solid stable and fun for me so far.

I'm not sure it's technically even launched yet, head start sounds more like a brief closed beta.

I agree, though, all bugs were minor on my end.

If the servers can hold up under the weight of the general public, this will be a phenomenal launch. MOST quest bugs have been fixed, and the devs are getting a lot better at being communicative and supportive (recent subscription fiasco and the in-game announcement about respec costs), many good signs. As it stands, there are quite a few head starters and the server only bugged out once for about 5 minutes.

I've got to agree, I woke myself up at 3am to start a character before I had to go to work and only had 1 disconnection in 4 hours of toon design and gameplay. Very nice job Cryptic!

MMOs should come with a free subscription to eye-drops. I think my right eye is worse than my left from playing games and I have to angle my computer chair now .... so .. I .. can ... ....

no, but neither do many of the people playing who were in beta, closed and open. the game stop store I purchased it from doesn't seem t ohave anything anod won't till sept 1st. again, though, that idoesn't seem to be a requirement for others who were in beta. I think I have just been unlucky with when I tried to play. it is what it is, but i can't say it has left me with the same feeling the other psters have.

Yeah I think you are wrong though.

If you don't have a key from gamestop, contact Cryptic support and let them know. See if they can help you out.

Thinking you are just unlucky is probably inaccurate. As the server has been up since Noon PT today with only a couple of minutes of downtime.

If you are not able to access the server then there is another issue. Don't always trust what other people say. Sometimes people misunderstand questions or other things.

While others may be playing without keys, you should not be worrying about that. If you get a key or contact Cryptic so they can help you, you will likely be able to play.

Hmm, well, since you are replying so quickly ...how is that i contact cryptic, I have been looking for a place to submit a ticked to ask if i have access to play or if i am just having an issue... I am not really sure who to ask or where to send a it... any suggestion?

For instance, earlier, both times when I tried to log in it said account servers weren't available. Then they were up, for just about 5 minutes...

Now back again to down...either way the server itself was down... I am having difficulty thinking this is an issue with my account as opposed to a technical one.

i found it and submitted a ticket, i am sure they are way too busy to bother seeing if i am supposed to be able to play so i won't hold my breath...

we will see if you are right or not though, hah.

Well I have to admit I have seen a couple of launches that went better than CO's, but I have also seen many many more that went far worse. So while I can't say this is the best launch I've seen or been part of, it is definitely well above average and definitely deserving of praise for it!

I meant in general, not directed toward you. During open beta, there were many complains on day one when the patcher didn't work, and the servers crashed. Many stated that it was for stress tests purposes so this didn't happen at launch. Was just pointing out why day one of open beta sucked basically (i.e. now that it counts, we can play :) )
