I played in the beta and though this invasion was weak
weak soldiers
weak weapons
weak ships
but I understood it cause... well its the start of the game.
Then I finally got a chance to look around and see these ships up close, and the big ones far away and everyone started to make more sense

Just a height perspective shot so you can see I am way up there and they are still much taller

From the ground it just never looked that menacing, but now I have a much higher appreciation of this introduction event and how involved it actually is even though the evidence of that is hard to see from the ground.
