Im level 6 and can't figure out where and how to change my power colors. Do I have to wait till I get past one of the first 2 crisis zones?

On your action bar, above your energy builder power you should see three little blue icons. Click the one that looks like a lightning bolt and you will see your powers. You will see a color in the top right of each of your powers, if there is no color there just click in that corner and you'll get a color slider.

Hitting "P" also brings up the powers menu where you can change colour.
