as question emply's i really like playing healing and support builds in MMO's and would like to know the basics on setting one up from others peoples experience playing the game i got in late on the beta but got the early start and gonna make my support char tomorrow and would like all of your general help and advise of how to start, what should my starting setup be? whats the best skills both healing, buffing, debuffing, aggo contol or defensive moves and even some attack moves so i can fill any role in a group, as i have learned if you heal too much anything and everything will turn to you, im ok with that part as it adds more fun to my game so please feel free you post here and help me out as i dont want to make any mistakes at first that would be too costly as i cant fully respec :( i also have the chapions builder too so will happily accept any templetes to give me a good idea on how to make my character perfect for my type of gameplay which is pure support and can fill most roles a jack of all trades master of none type but primerily defensive support rather than offensive support but still able to hit hard if need be, even if its just one attack
many thanks in advance :)

Throwing some out here.
Protection Field. It's in force, doesn't scale with any stat as far as I can tell (so fits any build). Ally only.
Psionic Healing. Targeted heal, Telepathy. Scales with PRE, returns energy. Much better than Empathetic Healing for practicality (empathetic is interrupted on any damage).
Arcane Vitality. Sorcery. Cone heal, which is nice since you can't directly target yourself (you have to have no target). Scales with PRE.
Sorcery Auras. If you like defensive, Radiant Protection is nice. No PRE at rank one, reduces damage by 25%. PRE superstatted (still rank 1) it reduces by 35%. You can take more than one aura, but it's your passive slot so you can't really switch on the fly.
Mindful Reinforcement. Telepathy or Telekinesis, I forget. Another bubble that you can put on yourself, scales with PRE. Absorbs more than Protection Field (and tacks a heal on the end if it's not burned through after 8 seconds) but it costs more mana and doesn't last as long.
A rez. There's more than one, pick your flavor.
A shield skill (pick your flavor) as even in support stance you ARE going to get aggro from heals. You need to be able to turtle effectively if necessary.
Personally I'm going with primarily force for my support character. Probably CON and PRE superstatted since I don't play on using PFF and I like survivability.

As a Rezz i would always take Divine Renewal. With the Radiant Renewal (3 pt) you can rezz everyone around you.
Dark Transfusion is an option. You can use it to get your Nrg back and heal others. After the dmg from it, you can heal yourself.
I would take Force for Force Detonation, coz you can knock back a bunch of mobs.
Take 3-4 attack powers, so you can still quest a bit solo or do other stuff. You are a healer but you shouldn't only focus on it and it could help if your Team is good enough and doesn't need heals at all.
No melee nrg builder for a healer/supporter. I guess you know why ;).
Get Psionic Emanation (2 pt) for Psionic Healing for a lil chance for a AoE Heal.

I concur, its nice playing a game and not seeing "looking for healor" all the time (or gettin the "r u emp" tells on a rad)..
Sorcery Auras. If you like defensive, Radiant Protection is nice. No PRE at rank one, reduces damage by 25%. PRE superstatted (still rank 1) it reduces by 35%. You can take more than one aura, but it's your passive slot so you can't really switch on the fly.
i work too damn much and onlly got to spend about 4 hours playin in beta, so i dont understand the passive stuff.. Right now i have regeneration from supernatural (passive defence if i recall), but i also took electric form (passive offence i think) so i dont know if the electric form is even doing anything or how to switch between the 2, buddy told me you get a free respec at 20 so if only 1 is doing something ill try and decide what i want.. i really would like some def, i can get a click heal.
