Vehicles!

Super heroes don't always fly or run fast. Some Heroes don't even have powers. So they must rely on other ways to get around the city.

Bat man has MANY.

X-Men have the Black Bird

Wonder Woman has an invisible Plane.

Because there are cars in the game already, why not incorporate those for our heroes to use? I also say we should get motor bikes. These should be customizable. You can have your emblem, your colors. maybe match your character's personality (do they have a sports car? high tech? or even an oldy.)

Star Wars Galaxies was able to do this and have speeders carry 2 people.

Yeah! Definitely need vehicles in this game!

I have a ton of friends from WoW who WILL move to Champions if they get vehicles. Mounts are really important to them! :D

I looked around by browsing... didnt do a search... but didnt see any so i thought i was the first to think up the idea. :P

But i did the search and found others talking about this, and some mentioning that the devs are working on this. However, i can not find an interview or a message from the devs, that they are working on this.

With many people making threads and taking part in them, i guess this would be a popular idea and make the devs work harder on the idea.

I'm sort of neutral on this topic. On the one hand, I'm all for more options. On the other hand, I wonder how those would work.

For instance, most vehicles are many times larger than a person. The X-Men Blackbird is quite large. Would you then prohibit the use of said vehicle in confined spaces?

Another issue would be how you enter or exit the vehicle. Would you basically activate it from a wide open location, then have the vehicle simply materialize?

Would the vehicle have its own HP & attacks? Would you have to "pay" for any repairs it needed?

Here's what I'd like to see:

1. Motorcycle graphic/effect for superspeed. They could have your character model sitting on the bike, and include a few bike models that are customizable. The bike could simply have a tp effect for when it appears or disappears, and this effect would basically be deactivated if and when you attempt to activate any other power. Perhaps some powers, like certain heals or self buffs, would not deactivate this power. I would include a Japanese style speed bike, a Harley style chopper, and a dirtbike style. Maybe an Akira or Tron style future bike would also be included.

2. I would revamp flight to cause jetpacks to animate while flying. I would also include a helicopter/gyro pack, and perhaps even a mini flying pod type graphic.

3. I would add "skates" or rocket boots (horizontal) as a superspeed-animated costume piece.

4. I would add wrist launchers or palm launchers as swinging effects, possible even arm stretching too.

5. I would add "spring feet" as a selectable superjump effect, (maybe better as an alternate animation for rocket boots)

6. I would add a sort of "blur form" as an option for either superspeed or acrobatics - think of how they sometimes porttray ninja dashing between trees in some anime.

7. Add different styles of disc for the flying disc power - including some hoverboards and/or selectable colors.

8. Add a "whirlwind bottom" effect as an alternative to fly - basically your chaarcter's body from the waist down is replaced by a mini tornado.

If vehicles happen.. i'd assume that they'd have their own life bars. Thats how Star Wars worked...

And i hated having to spend on repairs... but it makes sense. I'm way more devoted to this then i was in SWG so i think that i'd have less of a complaint in having to spend for repairs... unless we're talking cryptic points :(

yeah, so, MOTORBIKE! DEVS! MOTORBIKE! OR TWO! OR THREE! IN BLACK! yeah so, a motorbike takes up very little space, so no clipping issues, and it'll look SCHWEET!
