If you could implement a new game type in Hero Games, what would be the rules?

I think it would be neat to see an assassin game type, where in order to score each team has to kill a specific member of the opposite team. The name is flashed in a corner where it doesn't block combat view.

To keep either side from turtling in the entry area they are not shown which member of their own team they need to defend. Target changes every 120 seconds or when the target dies. Team cannot score if any of their own members are in the entry area.

I would estimate that it would be harder to score in this mode, so victory threshold should be lowered from 15 to 10 perhaps, or whatever play-testing reveals is ideal.

Edit: As an optional rule; if play testing reveals that turtling is still possible then the other side gets a point on target switch if the target stays in the entry area for more than 60 seconds during the two minutes they are it.

Ported posts:

I love your idea, team objectives are always fun. Never having been to the Hero Games I guess I don't get much say, but if they're not already implemented then CTF and Neutral Bomb (bomb spawns in the middle of the map) would be pretty fun.

One idea I wouldn't think is implemented (shoot me if I'm wrong) is a horde mode, similar to Zombies in COD5 or... well Horde Mode in Gears of War :D
Waves of increasingly difficult enemies come at your team of up to 4 players and the objective is to mow them down. Every, say, 5 levels or so you get a boss and maybe every 10 (Probably 15 or even 20 if I think about it) you get a bonus (increased energy/health charge, decrease power charge time, that sorta thing) that stays with you till your party is wiped out. Oh yeah, the dead members get revived at the beginning of each round.

Like I said, not been there so for all I know these are already in and popular. In which case, ignore me :)

It is a good idea, although I want more challenges that involve not just racking up kills because one person on a side can totally blow the entire contest.

I'd like to see objective type gameplay, think of something kind of like QuakeWars/Battlefield when it comes to types of objectives.

Something where you can pit 20v20 or 50v50 somehow (sg vs sg would be nice too).

Not going too much into it but I think you get the jist.

My idea for a new type of Hero games is taking the killing of players out of pvp but keeping it pvp.

Think of it like super-hero olypmpics

Toss an' Throw

Two-Four people enter an arena - Placed in an area of their own with objects to throw. Random targets pop up. First ones to "destroy" the most targets in a certain amount of time wins. 1st place gets the most points and Fourth place gets the least amount of points.

Citizen Rescue

Two hero teams enter into an arena that appear to be a crisis in the City - Fires, Aliens, trapped under rubble. The hero who is able to rescue the most people wins.

1 Point per person you save trapped under something.
2 Points for saving people from npc.
6 Points for stopping the Legendary Villains

Jail Break Bust Up

Two heroes enter - similar to Citizen Rescue yet instead the hero who can stop the most Prisoners from escaping win

henchmen - 1 point
Villains - 2 points
Master Villains - 4 points
Super Villains - 8 points

Just some really basic rough idea - but why does PVP actually have to be player kills player? Why can't it be more sportsmen like this sound fun to me at least.
