Loading. Please wait. - Can't login

I fire off the 'Champions Online.exe' and the window pop's up along with a system tray icon and I get a white screen with the words "Loading. Please wait." in the upper left corner - been there for over an hour now.

Any ideas?

Tried that previously but same thing happened; however rebooting my system got it past this point... to a new error.:) One that has already been reported though so, success.

im trying to boot the launcher again and again to see if that No shards error is getting fixed. I got your issue 2 times... the launcher is all white and "Loading. Please wait." in the upper left corner. But i only got this 2 or 3 times... i did nothing different. maybe if you run the launcher as an admin.. i dont know.

It's frightening that instead of decreasing, the number of people experiencing this problem seems to be getting greater each day. I had the misfortune of having this problem since the beginning of open beta, and it is very discouraging to see new people posting about this each time I come to the forums.

I hate this bug and I've been getting it since closed beta with no progress. Coderanger had me try setting up OpenDNS as my proxy but that hasn't fixed it.

It just happens and I have no idea why. I have to open and close the launcher until it decides to proceed. Very very annoying.

this is ridiculous im stuck at the auto update launcher thing now too it just wont get passed it. It eventually times out. I have reinstalled since yesterday but i cant get on the game now! This is utter crap paying for a game that simply will not run, i understand launches have problems but not even being able to get into the game is a joke!

What you're describing is a different issue, however. The "Loading. Please wait." screen never goes away, never times out.

Stuck here too. Let it sit for about 3 hours whilst ran errands. Then stopped and restarted the app. Still no luck. Guess I'll go back and play Eve. Very sad that I spent $50 for a game I cannot play after installing it. :mad:

Keep opening it and closing it and reopening it. As stupid as it seems, you'll suddenly get lucky and it'll work.
