Erm, is it crashing for anyone else when they choose Canada rather than the desert?

Yeah, actually. I'm getting the exact same problem.

For the record, my texture and sound .hogg files were corrupt from the FIleplanet download. Doesn't seem to get any better, no matter how many times I download it.

Assistance, anyone?:confused:

I also had a similar problem, once I completed the "Crisis in the Desert" series and tried to leave the desert zone for Millennium City. Now the game crashes every time I try to play that particular character.

Any ETA for a solution, devs?

Sorry to keep bumping this, but until there is a fix for this, I canot go to Canada! Also I have a character lost in the Canada limbo!

I am not in Canada, I am in Millenium city, at the start if the game, and every time I get the Sonic Pacifier (Signal to Noise) mish, the game crashes. Any thoughts?

Yea me too. I want to play my character, but the game crashes EVERY time I try to log in to him! :mad:

Please respond to this. I have 2 characters stuck in limbo and none of my new characters can enter Canada which is really restricting the game for me.

Lol i have the oposit problem i cant go to the desert it crashes in the loading screen

Not sure what do to about this. It's more of a problem because at lvl 12 I run out of missions in the desert. MC seems to start around 14 or 15 and as I can't go to Canada to get any quests, I am slightly buggered.

Have you tried the force verify?

Click the Champions online shortcut on your desktop or wherever then on the login screen click options (top left). Tick Force Verify then OK. Then Login, it will verify in a similar way to the patching. Takes 5 mins to complete.

It might fix your files if any of them are corrupted. Appols if everyone has already tried this.

It crashes when the speech welcoming me to canada starts. I have to restart my computer the hard way and log back in and my character is ok... but it happens EVERYTIME.
That's what I get for being canadian...

I am running into the same thing; I cannot play my main character after selecting Canada from those 2 choices at the end of the starting area. I have tried relaunching, checking the files, and rebooting, but nothing works. Does anyone from Cryptic read these forums? I haven't seen an official reply yet...:mad:
