What We Are (And What We Are Not)
What We Are:
Terrible Swift Sword is a supergroup planned for Champions Online. It is currently in the planning stages, with a website in development, and I'm posting here to gather interest. The group will be an RP heavy group, based on the idea of a supergroup funded by the Vatican. Heroes that want to have some sort of divine origin, or just want to play a sort of faithful (or zealous) character are welcome. This trope has been used in a lot of comics and manga, including, but hardly limited too...

What We Are Not:
- We are not a group designed for ministry. Being Christian or Catholic is not a requirement to join in any way shape or form. Keep your real life beliefs out.
- We are not a group designed for accuracy. If you are a real life Catholic or Christian, the idea of a gunslinging battle priest might not be the most appealing idea.
- We are not a hate group. Once again, keep your real life prejudices out of things.
Who I Am
Out of Character, I'm a gamer and computer programmer who's been into MMOs for many many years. I have experience in leading a major raiding guild in World of ********, and been an officer in groups in Planetside, City of Heroes, and Everquest. I am an avid tabletop roleplayer, and a major nerd.
Who Is Welcome
First and foremost, we are looking for roleplayers. Currently, we plan to keep the supergroup chat as a sort of OOC chat area, but general chat and chat in teams should be kept as in character as possible. This sort of mindset should help all members within the SG really get into the game and get immersed in it. It will also help differentiate the members of this SG from other players, and make the game more fun overall.
From a character background standpoint, any character that has some sort of divine origin should fit right in here. Thinking of playing an angel? Yeah we can work with that. Want to play a blade wielder that uses a sort of holy sword? Yeah that'll work. Gunslinging battlenun? C'mon in. In addition, characters that would like to play a sort of mercenary bent and would be paid/funded by the church would be welcome. Cyborg types are fine and dandy. Even demonic/vampire/whatever types would be welcome, assuming they are seeking redemption for what they are. Basically, any sort of hero you could see the Vatican throwing money at to get them involved, or who would voluntarily seek out such a group.
Who Might Not Fit
If you are not interested in roleplaying, this might not be the SG for you. I you are only interested in powergaming and endgame raiding stuff, this might not be the best SG for you. If you want to play a character who is "evil", demonic, or otherwise a full-on badguy, this might not be the SG for you (unless of course, they're seeking redemption).
