This is my Omnius Rex build, which is intended to increase pet effectiveness by increasing their crit chance and crit severity. This build is not intended as a leveling build, nor is it intended for PvP. It is a stable build that pours out a steady stream of DPS that is capable of a nice spike whenever you need it, and it is a heck of a lot of fun to play.

The Powers
Wrist Bolter Your End builder; nothing special here and nothing to bother yourself about since you will hardly ever use it.
Concussor Beam This is the setup for the PA spike; start this toggle which drives your opponent back while you charge up you Chest Beam for the big OUCH!
Implosion Engine The football of doom; controls enemies by pulling them towards it (while doing damage). They are all sitting ducks for your toggles and pets.
Aura of Primal Majesty Your passive at rank 3 which is giving you a huge stat boost that allows you to function so smoothly.
Mini-Gun The advantage, U-238 Rounds, is putting a very short debuff on targets that increases the overall dps of both you and your pets; keep this bad boy up and running at all times. This is a 100 ft cylinder AoE.
Micro Munitions Another 100 ft AoE to be run in conjunction with Mini-Gun; at rank 3 it does good damage. Because it is an AoE hitting multiple targets increases your odds of scoring a crit on one of its victims.
Chest Beam Chest Beam is the SPIKE in PA spike; rank it to 3 and enjoy the frequent crits that score between 6 and 8 K damage--that's on top of the pets and Concussor Beam that's pinning the enemy down.
Unbreakable This is your, "PLEASE GOD I'M TOO YOUNG TO DIE!' button.
Support Drones These are your main source of healing, and with all the crits they now put out they keep you topped off most of the time. Take a rank 3 for maximum effect.
Munitions Bots These guys are the pets that supplement the excellent dps of PA; put them in turret mode for the big fights.
IDF This provides protection for you and your pets, but it is not necessary to spend any advantage points on it.
Conviction Your supplementary heal which is used so infrequently that you could free up 2 advantage points by taking rank 2 instead of rank 3.
Lock-n-Load I was out of advantage points and felt this gave the most bang for the buck, so this is your active offense and hold breaker.
The Specs
Intelligence: Preparation 2/2, Tactician 2/2, Enlightened 1/3, Detect Vulnerability 3/3, Tinkering 2/2
Preparation and Detect Vulnerability were my primary reasons for selecting Int as the primary, but recent findings seem to indicate that Detect Vulnerability doesn't work the way we thought--I am waiting to see what the final word on this is before I commit to changing anything.
Commander: Multitasker 3/3, Create an Opening 2/2, Evasive Action 2/2, Savage 3/3
Multitasker is reducing the penalty for having pets out; Create an Opening is boosting their crit percent; Evasive Action is increasing their protection against AoE attacks; and Savage is a direct damage boost.
Vindicator: The Rush of Battle 2/3, Merciless 3/3, Mass Destruction 3/3, Offensive Expertise 2/2
Rush of Battle is a small HoT on kill; Merciless is increasing crit severity--that means it is buffing pet crit severity by half as much; Mass Destruction is 6% bonus to crit percent on AoE attacks, of which you have three; Offensive Expertise provides a cooldown reduction for Lock-n-Load.
A typical fight begins with your two main toggles Micro Munitions followed by Mini-Gun, and since you will score multiple crits it will proc Create an Opening helping your pets crit as well. If there is anyone still standing fire up those Concussor Beams and start charging Chest Beam.
For big fights you want to open with the Implosion Engine then toggles and spike if necessary.
