View Full Version : Interaction between Intelligence, reduced recharge time, AoAC, and revitalize

Title is quite a mouth full, but to anyone who has the time and ability to test, or possibly any developers who feel like shedding some light on this, How do all of these things stack and interact?

Intelligence gives cooldown reduction as a percentage based on the stat
Aura of Arcane Clarity gives cooldown reduction based on super stats
Recharge reduction on items gives an arbitrary number that at least i am not sure just how much it gives per point
Revitalize reduces cooldown by a percentage each time you use an energy builder.

Now my question is how do all of these stack and how does it interact?
Do you add all the numbers up then give it the Cryptic % reduction?
do some add together then the others reduce it further?
Are some flat, and if so when does each reduce it?
Are these numbers based on the cooldown of the base rank 1 ability or the current rank if the cooldown changes? Probably the latter but worth asking..

And now the more important one...

Revitalize, does it's reduction factor in how much gets knocked off before or after the newer reduced number from all the above factors? This one is very important, because if it's reductions are based on the number after all of your other reductions are already calculated then that makes this ability far less effective.

Although I can't give any real numbers for consideration I too am currently pondering this. So much so I've cooked up a 'test' toon for the sole purpose to see just how far I can push the rech times for certain abbilitites in-game. I'll report back at 10 lvl intervals for %'s and comments.

I can tell you that revitalize is much less effective with high INT stat using Aura of Arcane Clarity..

I think many cooldown reduction based powers suffer the same inefficiency as Nanobot Swarm

Simple

Current recharge time = Basic Recharge time / (1 + INT bouns + AoAC + skill bouns + gear bouns)
