I love the R3 Support Drones. I really do.
But they are far, far too noisy.
In the heat of combat they are firing constantly and I am getting more than a little tired of what sounds a bit like the Death Star Laser firing right next to my ear throughout the entirety of every battle- an epic, howling wind of planetary destruction, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, but never to be silenced.
I know I'm being overly dramatic but seriously, it's too loud for something that is played for so long, so frequently.

Yeah there's something far too overblown about the healing sound the Drones make - it sounds more like a weapon attack (in fact I'm pretty sure it's the same sound as another attack in the game somewhere - have the files gotten mixed up? :) ), and I keep thinking someone's firing a weapon at me, but oh no, it's just the healing sound.
What was wrong with the old healing sound anyway?

The same thing goes for radiant summoning's rebuke, the sounds is just annoying / too loud, and hearing it 10 times per battles gets annoying.

Maybe there needs to be an audio pass. It may seem like too much to ask, but since I started playing with earbuds, I've grown to appreciate the game's sound and music a lot more.
I do agree that drones are super noisy at rank 3.

also muni bots in turret mode are far too loud for something that attacks continuously. I actively distance myself from them even if they are on my team in order to get away from that sound effect.

Just like CoX, all sounds, graphics, and everything else are contained inside the game's .hogg files. And like CoX, it will accept an override folder (as of last Google search, anyhow).
So if you want to change the noise to silence, the ice-cream man coming down the street, or your favorite band, you can. You...just gotta find it.
And that's the hard part.

I agree. I don't have any characters that use them but, I have teamed with folks that do. Very annoying.
