Since the article makes no mention of it, what exactly is revamped?
Of course the article makes no mention of the flaws of Lemuria like the fact that the Flying Dutchman open mission doesn't work.

The zone looks much better in game than it does in the screenshots they present.

what does pointing out flaws have to do with an overview?

So people know what to expect when going into the area.

Yeah, I thought it was kinda funny that they didn't address the rubberbanding, certain aspects not working and such. At least they've cleaned up the way they're looking at CO now, though.

Umm what ? " Revamped " ?! No . That was a general description of Lemuria , not a "once over" after a "revamp" . Complete waste of time . This is getting old Cryptic .

Ummm... What does Cryptic have to do with a TTH review?
What, we're going the blame them for what other people write now?
Fluff piece? Yeah, but hardly Cryptic's fault...
Besides, anything that brings folks into (or back to) the game is a good thing, imho....

They are responsible for what their own employees write as a description for an article they are linking to. What Rekhan said was in the article doesn't match up what is actually in the article. Rekhan made it seem like Lemuria recently got an overhaul and TTH was checking it out to highlight the changes. Instead it was just an article to saw what is in the existing Lemuria. False hype, per usual from Cryptic.

Oh! I get it... sorry for the slow uptake... feelin' kinda "duh" right now...
And I agree...
I hate it when that happens...

What rubberbanding? These days I've been spending most of my non-UNITY time here while waiting for Deathray Demolition to be fixed so I can turn it in, and I'm not experiencing any rubberbanding at all.
And while there certainly are further fixes that need to be made to the zone, the point of the article was to provide an 'overview', and that's exactly what it did. For those of us playing the game it is useless information since we know all of this already, but we're not the target audience anyway.

I'm not getting it. Rekhan says "newly revamped Lemuria", but the article itself is a pitch-perfect overview you'd normally expect during the pre-release of either the zone or the game itself.
Then again ...
Maybe the devs are trying to re-launch the zone since so few people use it? I know I'm not the only one who spent hours PvPing in the 30s precisely so I could skip the zone.

I took Rekkhan's comment about the "revamped Lemuria" as Cryptic patting themselves on the back, for putting a fix in for all the problems players were experiencing in Lemuria a few weeks back. This just shows a bit of a disconnect between what we think is to be expected from Cryptic and what Cryptic thinks is going above and beyond. But that's just me being cynical, as my week slowly comes to a close.
It would be best if we just stop using misleading, "hype" words altogether, alrighty Cryptic? :D

I'm not sure what Rekhan meant by "revamped" either.
That aside, I've only had my first introduction to Lemuria a few days ago, and based on first impressions it's one of my favourite zones. The 3D aspect doesn't worry me, possibly because I'm using an Xbox controller. I'm not sure what it would be like using a keyboard.
I haven't had any rubber-banding issues, which is another common complaint, although I believe that was addressed in a recent patch.
The distance-judging aspect took a bit of getting used to, and I can see why this would be painful with a melee-based character. I have a munitions/melee hybrid, and I'm finding myself doing a lot of shooting and not much punching (although landing a lethal haymaker on a shark-sub was kind of fun when I did it).
I think the lack of a crafting table and place to sell stuff may get a bit annoying. I'd like to at least have someone I could dump stuff onto.
Overall I love the look of the place, the pace of the briefing/mission cycle, and how easy it is to load up on missions in the same zone.
